High protein breakfast biscuits are some of the most popular recipes on my site and I know why: they’re easy to make, perfect for on-the-go mornings, reheat like a dream, and keep you full—basically meal prep perfection. I love creating new variations whenever I get the chance, and today I have a new version to share with you!
a peek at the new breakfast biscuits…
These pepper & onion egg white breakfast biscuits were developed for the Tighter Together recipe guide, but you can access this new one here to check it out! They’re perfect for a quick post-workout breakfast or as part of a balanced meal prep rotation.
Protein packed. These biscuits were designed with protein and fiber in mind. The protein comes mainly from egg whites, keeping them light but filling—two biscuits clock in at around 26 grams of protein. I add just a sprinkle of cheese on top for a little salty bite (and an extra boost of protein).
Gluten-free (of course). One of the most common questions I get about breakfast biscuits is whether you can use regular flour. The answer is yes: this new variation was developed with gluten-free baking flour, which is 1:1 swap for all-purpose flour.

I’m also rounding up more biscuit variations so you can mix and match throughout the month!
Cheddar and Chive High Protein Breakfast Biscuits — A simple but flavorful variation for the most amazing savory, and slightly sweet, breakfast. These freeze well, perfect for a freezer stock. Highly recommend using a sharp or extra sharp cheddar in these!
Pizza High Protein Breakfast Biscuits — Love a pizza for breakfast moment! These use red and green bell pepper, ground Italian chicken sausage, and of course mozzarella to get that pizza flavor. Make a batch for breakfast or lunch for the week if you’re craving pizza vibes. This flavor is very similar to the pepper & onion recipe, if that’s your jam try this one out!
Everything Bagel High Protein Breakfast Biscuits — I’m still a big fan of EBTB seasoning and these biscuits are a product of my love for it. I love how simple they are to put together and the seasoning really gives a boost of flavor that’s a little salty and super savory.
Jalapeño Cheddar High Protein Breakfast Biscuits — When I shared this new variation in January’s monthly meal prep plan they were an instant hit! They’re the perfect balance of spicy, savory, and satisfying, packed with ground chicken, sharp cheddar, and a kick of tangy jalapeños. If spicy isn’t your thing, swap for a sautéed green bell pepper!
Roasted Red Pepper and Goat Cheese High Protein Breakfast Biscuits — I love this variation for a group brunch, the dollop of creamy goat cheese in the center feels slightly more elevated (and it’s delicious). The roasted red peppers add a delicious sweetness too.
Sweet Potato, Maple, and Sage High Protein Breakfast Biscuits — This variation is totally dairy-free (if you want, you can add shredded cheddar in the mix or on top!), thanks to sweet potato that releases some extra moisture to keep the biscuits from drying out. If you’re looking for a sweet variation, this recipe is for you.
