summer house menu for budget-friendly family meals
my top easy summer recipe picks (including breakfast!) with a PDF grocery list
When I was a kid, as soon as the calendar turned to June all I could think about was my family’s annual summer trip to York, Maine. We would rent a cottage near the beach for a week in July and stuff the minivan to the brim for my favorite week of the year. We would spend our days getting a little too sun-kissed and would spend our nights playing games on the porch.
I got to thinking (because this is just how my brain works at this point), if we were going to get that same cottage up in York this summer, how would I shop and what would I make for my family? So, I prepped this guide for what I would prep my family if we were to pack up that mini van and make our way back up I-95 for another week.
And whether or not you and your family are doing a summer house this year, this email contains a meal plan + grocery list with a full week of dinner recipes AND a week’s worth of breakfasts for a family of four that will help you shop efficiently and eat delicious, nutritious meals on vacation, rather than spending a lot of takeout and dinners out. Each of the recipes can be easily made in any kitchen—vacation or not!
As a little bonus, I have a brand new mocktail recipe that I HIGHLY recommend adding to your plan because it’s so easy and sooo tasty!!! Tap here to get my fizzy strawberry basil lemonade mocktail recipe. It’s SO refreshing and summery!!
