these meal plans changed my life
if you're struggling with decision fatigue, keep scrolling for a grocery list and meal plan!
For me, the most difficult thing about eating well used to be that I didn’t have a plan. I’d go to the grocery store, without anything more than a vague idea of some of the recipes I’d aspirationally hope to make later in the week. After thirty minutes in fight or flight, I’d find myself in the checkout line with a bunch of ingredients that would only be useful in one recipe, the right ingredients to make only one or two of those recipes I aspired to consider making as I walked into the grocery store, and a bill that was way higher than I wanted it to be. By the end of the week, I’d usually have eaten out more than once, let many of the ingredients I paid for go bad, and would have a jar of horseradish sitting in my fridge never to be used again.
What I needed was a PLAN to make sure I got exactly what I needed at the grocery store to make the meals I actually wanted to eat for the week. By choosing recipes that utilize similar ingredients and pantry staples, I’ve been able to reduce the number of expensive one-off ingredients that I buy. And by knowing exactly what I’m going to cook for dinner every night, I reduce the decision fatigue of trying to figure out what to do with all the random stuff I bought at the grocery store, which has significantly decreased the number of times I’ll order out in a week. It’s been so great to hear that many of you have had similar experiences with these meal plans.
Since launching this newsletter in January, the feedback I have gotten about how helpful these plans have been has by far been the highlight of this amazing Substack experience. And none of this would be possible without your support. Thank you, thank you, thank you! And I have another meal plan for you this week. Keep scrolling for another plan that you can use to help take the decision fatigue out of your week, eat healthier, and order out less!
By the way, in this Podcast, I dive into these topics I love talking about more, so give it a listen if you’re interested!
If you have any thoughts about this grocery list or these recipes, I would love to hear them in the comments, through our Substack chat, or in my DMs 🥰
