Jenn - what kind of blender do you use? I can't get my cashew sauces to be this creamy, even after soaking overnight.

My daughter has a cashew and peanut allergy but can eat almonds we have that aren’t cross contaminated. Could you substitute almonds instead and would there need to be any adjustments?

You could definitely try this with almonds! You may just need to soak them a bit longer since almonds tend to be tougher to blend, but from there follow the same instructions and blend up really well!

I have a similar question, since I am also allergic to cashews.

I thought I posted it, with a link to a source explaining why I'm allergic, but I don't see it.

Hi Vicki, this post just got send today, you commented that question on a different post and it's still there. You could try substituting almonds, just soak them for a bit longer given they are tougher to blend. The longer you can soak the better!
