After spending the first month of summer pretty much at home, July has come in hot with travel. Brian and I are doing a little east coast road trip this week—we’re currently in NYC for some cookbook related things (eek!), heading to Washington DC today on the train, and driving back up through Long Island and Connecticut after the weekend is over. After a busy few months we’re excited to get away and spend some time in the sun, and I’ll definitely share which spots we hit over on Instagram!
Coming back from a trip always feels a little disorienting, so I like to ease back into my routines—focusing on what’s doable instead of pressuring myself to prep every single meal. That mindset shaped this month’s Ingredient Prep Guide. The components are simple, flavorful, and super colorful, and the whole thing comes together in just about 90 minutes leaving you with 3 meals (12 servings) that can be easily assembled throughout the week. So grab the grocery list, pop on your favorite podcast or playlist, and let’s get into this simple component prep!
A little more about this month’s ingredient prep…
If you’re following the July Prep Plan, these meals are your preps for week 4. The prep plan includes instructions on how to make each meal as a standalone recipe. Reference the freezing and reheating guide to make the most out of the meals so they stretch all week. If you’re not following the plan, just follow this post!
**Please note that the recipes are developed with the full component quantities in mind, so if you’re making just one or two recipes, you will end up with some spare sauce or veggies to incorporate into your other meals during the week :)
