This week I thought I’d share three of my top tips for efficient grocery shopping! I use these tips for my weekly shopping, and it’s changed not only my grocery budget, but reduced the amount of weekly food waste. Let me know which tip you want to try out next time you shop, and I’ll be sharing more content on this soon!! 🛒
💡 Take inventory: Before you make a list, take your fridge, freezer, and pantry inventory! I talk about this soo much because it’s so key to saving time and money + reducing food waste. Knowing exactly what you have allows you to pick meals that will use what’s already there.
💡 Plan one meal of the day: If you don’t know where to start, start by planning only your weeknight dinners. This gives flexibility to incorporate what you’re craving each day, with the stability of a plan. If your dinners are covered, you can supplement with leftovers for lunch and very simple breakfasts. Set a time each week to do this planning! (if you’re stuck for inspo, browse my Dinner section)
💡 Choose ingredients you’ll use multiple times. Think of it like a puzzle! If you’re making a soup than uses 2 cups of broth, try to pair it with another recipe that uses the remaining 2 cups (like a one pot meal). This way you’re not getting a speciality ingredient that will never be used again, and takes of valuable fridge space!

I have a serious aversion to meat on the bone. Yes, I know it’s weird. Is there a way to make this with chicken breasts that you would recommend?
