a HUGE giveaway!!! celebrating 100k subscribers 🎊
plus everything you need to know to navigate the eat goood newsletter
When I started this newsletter in January 2024 I had no idea what it would eventually turn into, and I definitely did NOT think 100,000 of you would be subscribed and reading my life updates, recipe notes, and meal prep ramblings every week.
I actually scrolled back to my very first post today so I could take a look and it made me realize how far we’ve come. It’s been my priority since day one to make the eat goood newsletter as valuable, actionable, and informative as possible every week, but I’ll be the first one to admit that I didn’t know what that actually meant at the start.
When I started out, posts were VERY basic, short, and didn’t have much depth to them. I hadn't fully tapped into my creativity. That’s one of the reasons I am SO grateful if you’ve been a subscriber from day one, because you’ve supported me from the beginning when I was still figuring everything out. But over time, 120 posts later, with the help of your wonderful feedback and support, I’ve been able to define it, evolve it, and make it so much better. Now, I’m proud to say my publication is the hub of my content and best place to access the most detailed versions of everything I share on the internet.

One of the biggest reasons why Substack has become my go-to platform over the last year is because I have the space here to share everything in detail—from the WHY behind each recipe to detailed ingredient swap recommendations and everything in between—and connect with you all on a deeper level. I also never feel like my content is going out into the abyss (it’s actually all organized in the archive here for you) and don’t need to rely on algorithms or trending music to send my message right to you.
So if you joined me from another platform, thank you for taking the leap and trusting me with your very precious inbox space. And if you joined me from browsing around on Substack, thank you for sticking around and seeing how things work over here 💖
To thank you for making this happen and share in the celebration, I put together a super special giveaway with some favorites of mine 🎉 Everything you need to know to enter and what’s included is at the bottom of this post, keep scrolling!!!
I’m so excited to continue putting out content each week to support your busy lives and reduce decision fatigue around your weekly meals. I want you to feel EXCITED about planning, cooking, and prepping and I will continue to invest in new ways to make that happen. As always, my inbox is open to your thoughts and feedback 💕
On top of that, I want to ensure the experience of finding and accessing each piece of content is as seamless as possible, so below I’m sharing my top tips for navigating the eat good newsletter. Whether you’re new or you’ve been around from the start, the most common questions I get will be addressed here. You might learn something new!
How to easily access newsletter content:
My goal is to create accessible content, so if you’re looking to use Substack more, confused with the platform, or just want to know where everything is that’s included with a subscription, this rundown is for you. There are 3 ways to access my Substack content:
1. Email inbox
Each time a newsletter is sent out, you will receive it in your email inbox. Check out the FAQs post if you need help getting the posts sent to your inbox. If you are searching for a newsletter in your inbox, use the search box—all eat goood newsletters come from me, Jenn Lueke, so you can add me to your contacts to ensure the emails don’t end up in the spam folder. Here’s what this looks like:
2. Substack website on desktop
This is my favorite way to access Substack, it’s similar to going to a website or blog. To get there, navigate to: jenneatsgoood.substack.com (save to your Bookmarks bar for easy access and you’ll see everything in one spot whenever you need it!)
The home page features the most recent posts and FAQ pinned post at the top.
To find a specific post or recipe: Scroll down just a little to navigate by category: meal plans, ingredient preps, bonus recipes, and more. Or, use the search function in the top right corner 🔍
To access the chat: navigate to the chat icon in the top right corner 💬
3. Substack app
If you’re someone who likes to do it all on your phone, Substack has a mobile app. Sign into the app with the same email address used to subscribe to the newsletter.
To access the home page: click your profile image in the top right corner and all your subscriptions—including the eat goood newsletter, will show in the sidebar. You can also use the search bar and search for “eat goood newsletter.”
The home page features the FAQ pinned post at the top when you click into it.
To find a specific post or recipe: Scroll down to navigate by most recent posts. Or navigate to the search icon in the top right corner 🔍 Saving a post is another way to easily access it later by navigating to “Saved” on your app.
To access the chat: navigate to the chat icon on the menu under “Share.” 💬
FAQs pinned post
If you have a question, or are looking for a past recipe, meal plan, or guide, head to the pinned post: Start Here: How To Navigate The Eat Goood Newsletter. This post is information central!! You’ll find exactly what you can expect as a subscriber, detailed answers to your frequently asked questions—including access and billing questions—AND the complete categorized archive of bonus recipes, meal plans, and guides. You can access it anytime on, you guessed it, the newsletter homepage. This newsletter will be accessible through this post as well if you ever want to go back to it!
🔍 Using the search bar
If you’re looking for something specific, the search bar is your best friend!! From the eat goood homepage on both mobile and desktop find the 🔍 (search) icon in the top right. Type in a recipe title, ingredient, or general keywords and all the matching results will pop up! For example, you can search for a recipe like lemon orzo skillet or general terms like high protein or sweet potato. Even a rec of mine, like glass containers!
